Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking a Field Access Manager to serve as the access expert for healthcare professionals and organizations in the assigned Ohio Valley region.

The role is remote/field-based and involves proactive education on access and coverage to ensure timely patient access to therapy. You will analyze access issues, coordinate with the hub on patient cases, and collaborate with field sales, marketing and other teams while ensuring HIPAA compliance and high-quality stakeholder

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years in patient support, pharmaceutical/healthcare sales or reimbursement operations.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare Part B, Medicaid and commercial plan structures.

Responsibilities

• Provide education to healthcare providers on patient access, benefit verification, prior authorization, and patient assistance programs.
• Analyze access trends and identify barriers to patient access across payer types.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support seamless patient access to therapy.
• Educate and update healthcare providers on hub programs, patient support offerings and reimbursement changes.
• Maintain knowledge of regional and national market dynamics and payer coverage policies.
