Job summary

Merck is seeking a Field Access Manager to serve as the subject-matter expert on access for healthcare professionals and organizations. The role works remotely/field-based, educating accounts on access and reimbursement, and coordinating with the access hub for patient cases to support therapy access while complying with regulations.

The FAM will analyze access issues, partner with Field Sales and Market Access, and collaborate across departments to address barriers and improve patient

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required for the role.
• Minimum of 7 years in patient support, pharma sales or reimbursement.
• Strong knowledge of health insurance structures and processes.
• Experience with HIPAA and pharmaceutical compliance guidelines.
• Willingness to travel 20-25% and operate remotely within assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and education on patient access to HCP accounts.
• Analyze access trends and identify barriers to access.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve patient access.
• Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders to support therapy access.
