Merck is seeking a Field Access Manager to act as the subject-matter expert on access for HCPs and HCOs, coordinating with patient support, market access, and field sales to enable timely patient access to therapy.

You will educate providers on benefit verification, prior authorization, and payer coverage, analyze access trends, and collaborate cross-functionally to remove barriers while maintaining compliance with regulations. Remote with travel.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in patient support, pharmaceutical/healthcare sales or operations.
• Strong knowledge of health insurance structures and access processes.
• Expertise in HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
• Remote role with 20-25% travel; must reside in assigned territory.
• Must be 21+ with valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide information and/or education to HCP accounts on patient access, including benefit verification, prior authorization processes, appeals processes, and patient support programs in both live and virtual formats.
• Analyze access trends to identify barriers and opportunities.
• Partner cross-functionally to identify and address barriers to patient access.
• Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to support seamless patient access to therapy.
• Monitor payer trends to address access barriers; provide information to HCP offices.
• Educate and update HCP offices on product hub programs and patient support resources.
• Escalate and coordinate on access issues with third parties including hub vendors.
