Job summary

Merck is seeking a Field Access Manager (FAM) to serve as the subject-matter expert on access issues for healthcare professionals and organizations. The role is remote/field-based, collaborating with patient support, market access, and field sales to ensure timely patient access to therapy.

The FAM will analyze access trends, coordinate with hub vendors, and educate HCP offices on payer coverage and hub programs. Travel 20–25% and residency in the assigned territory are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in patient support, pharmaceutical/healthcare sales or operations, or reimbursement support.
• Strong knowledge of health insurance structures (Medicare Part B, Medicaid, commercial) and related access processes.
• Expertise in pharmaceutical compliance and HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
• Willingness to travel 20–25% and reside in the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and education to HCP accounts on patient access and payer processes.
• Analyze access trends and identify barriers to patient access.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Field Sales, Market Access, and other teams.
• Educate HCP offices on hub programs, patient support offerings, and financial assistance.
• Coordinate with hub vendors and field teams to support patient access to therapy.
• Attend National and Regional meetings.
