Job summary

Merck is seeking a Field Access Manager to serve as the subject-matter expert on access issues for healthcare professionals and organizations. This remote/field-based role collaborates with patient support, market access, and field sales to facilitate timely patient access to therapy, including education on access processes, reimbursement, and hub programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 7 years in patient support, pharmaceutical/healthcare sales or operations, or reimbursement support.
• Strong knowledge of health insurance structures and access processes (Medicare Part B, Medicaid, commercial).
• Expertise in pharmaceutical compliance and HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and education to HCP accounts on patient access and support programs.
• Analyze access trends and barriers to patient access.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with field sales, market access, and hub vendors.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless patient access.
• Monitor payer trends and respond to access issues.
• Educate field teams on access processes and hub programs.
