Job summary

Merck is seeking a Field Access Manager (FAM) to serve as the subject-matter expert on access issues for healthcare professionals and organizations. The role works cross-functionally with patient support, market access, and field sales to facilitate timely patient access to therapy, providing education on access processes and payer coverage.

The FAM will analyze access issues, coordinate with hub services on patient cases, and inform internal stakeholders about payer policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in patient support, pharmaceutical/healthcare sales or operations, or reimbursement support.
• Strong knowledge of health insurance structures (Medicare Part B, Medicaid, commercial) and related access processes.
• Expertise in pharmaceutical compliance and HIPAA regulations.
• Experience in hub and patient support activities.
• Willingness to travel 20-25% and reside in assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and education to HCP accounts on patient access and related processes.
• Analyze access trends and identify barriers to patient access.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Field Sales, Market Access, and other teams.
• Coordinate with access hub on patient cases including hub enrollment.
• Educate HCP offices on product hub program and patient support offerings.
• Attend National and Regional Meetings.
