Merck is seeking a Field Access Manager to act as the subject-matter expert on access issues for healthcare professionals and organizations. The role collaborates with patient support, market access, and field sales to ensure timely access to therapy, providing education on access processes, reimbursement, and patient assistance programs while complying with regulations.

This remote/field-based position serves defined accounts with 20-25% travel, primarily in the New England South territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years in patient support, pharmaceutical/healthcare sales or reimbursement.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare Part B, Medicaid and commercial payer structures.
• Expertise in HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
• Willingness to travel 20-25% and reside in the New England South territory.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and education to HCP accounts on patient access, including benefit verification, prior authorization, appeals and patient support programs.
• Analyze access trends and partner cross-functionally to address barriers to patient access.
• Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to support seamless patient access.
• Monitor payer trends to address access barriers.
• Escalate and coordinate on access issues with third parties including hub vendor.
• Educate field teams on access issues and hub program.
