Job summary

Merck is seeking a Field Access Manager to serve as a subject-matter expert on access issues for HCPs and HCOs. This remote/field-based role collaborates with patient support, market access, and field sales to facilitate patient access to therapy and ensure compliance with regulations.

You will analyze access trends, educate providers on access processes, and coordinate with hub vendors. This position requires 20–25% travel and residency in the assigned territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• 7+ years’ experience in patient support, pharmaceutical/healthcare sales or reimbursement.
• Strong knowledge of health insurance structures (Medicare Part B, Medicaid, commercial) and related access processes.
• Expertise in HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
• Willingness to travel 20–25% and reside in the New England South assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and education to HCP accounts on patient access and benefit verification.
• Analyze access trends and payer coverage issues.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and address barriers to patient access.
• Educate HCP offices on hub programs, patient support offerings and financial assistance.
• Coordinate with hub vendors and field teams to support access to therapy.
