Job summary

Merck is seeking a Field Access Manager to serve as the subject-matter expert on access issues for healthcare professionals and HCOs. This remote/field-based role supports patient access by providing information on access processes, reimbursement, and patient assistance programs while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

The FAM will coordinate with field sales, market access, and support hubs, traveling 25% within the New England South territory to educate HCPs and staff on payer coverage and access

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 7+ years in patient support, pharma/healthcare sales or reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and education on patient access and reimbursement processes to HCP accounts.
• Analyze access trends and barriers to patient access across payer types.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support seamless patient access to therapy.
• Maintain knowledge of regional and national market dynamics and payer policies.
