Job summary

Merck is seeking a Field Access Manager to serve as the subject-matter expert on access for HCPs and HCOs. This remote/field-based role collaborates with cross-functional teams to facilitate patient access to therapy, providing education on access processes, coverage, and hub programs across an assigned geography.

You will analyze access issues, coordinate with hubs, and stay updated on payer policies to support favorable patient outcomes while complying with regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with relevant healthcare experience.
• 7+ years in patient support, pharmaceutical sales, or reimbursement.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid, commercial payer processes, and HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Provide education on patient access, benefits verification, and prior authorization.
• Analyze access trends and collaborate to address barriers to access.
• Build relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure patient access.
• Monitor payer trends and communicate requirements to HCP offices.
• Educate field teams on hub programs and payer coverage changes.
