Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a Loss Mitigation FHA Claims Specialist to work remotely from home. You will prepare, file, and follow up on FHA/HUD claims, perform reconciliations, and ensure timely posting of proceeds while adhering to investor guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• 1–2 years mortgage servicing default experience preferred.
• Previous FHA claims experience preferred.
• Understanding the loss mitigation and claims process.
• Excellent written and oral communication, organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file HUD claims timely and accurately according to guidelines.
• Follow up semi-daily on outstanding claim proceeds.
• Perform loan level reconciliation for final claim proceeds and adjustments.
• Provide posting instructions for claim proceeds within 24 hours of receipt.
• Review and ensure timely completion of scheduled steps.
• Document all servicing actions, delays, and follow-up in system notes.
• Ensure all claim documents are imaged timely.
• Maintain HUD audit file.
