Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a Loss Mitigation FHA Claims Specialist to work remotely from home. The role focuses on preparing, filing and following up on FHA home retention claims with strict adherence to investor guidelines.

Target pay range is $23.00 to $26.00 per hour. Responsibilities include filing HUD claims, daily follow-up, loan-level reconciliations, posting instructions within 24 hours, and maintaining thorough documentation and HUD audit files.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
• 1–2 years mortgage servicing/default experience preferred.
• FHA claim experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, organization and time management.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file HUD claims timely and accurately per guidelines.
• Follow up on claim proceeds on a semi-daily basis.
• Perform loan level reconciliations of claim amounts and payments.
• Provide posting instructions within 24 hours of receipt.
• Document servicing actions and maintain the HUD audit file.
• Ensure claim documents are imaged timely and deadlines met.
• Maintain ongoing communication with supervisor about trends.
