Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Federal Project Manager to deploy and manage mission-critical IT/mobile systems for government and public safety. The role supports DoD initiatives and allows flexible remote work nationwide with 50%+ travel across the continental U.S. The ideal candidate has a PMP, extensive government contract experience, and strong leadership in remote environments.

Requires DoD clearance eligibility and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years in one of the following: LMR, Engineering, Project Management, Technical Services, Government, Military or Public Safety.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required; employer sponsorship is not available.
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain necessary security clearance for government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee deployment and implementation of Motorola Solutions products and services.
• Lead cross-functional teams to launch new solutions or upgrade existing systems.
• Direct the full project lifecycle from initiation to completion, monitoring performance metrics.
• Ensure delivery within timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Draft and execute project plans including design reviews, timelines, configurations, installation, training and testing.
• Oversee subcontractor operations with detailed SOWs and PO outcomes.
• Manage budgets, revenue goals, and inventory tracking.
• Draft technical proposals, change orders, and bids for system integration.
• Conduct project reviews and status meetings; communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Prepare documentation for internal reviews and external updates.
• Apply project management frameworks to maximize efficiency and drive high performance.
• Support strategic plans and business opportunities; pursue favorable customer satisfaction.
