Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced Federal Project Manager to support DoD initiatives. This role allows flexible remote work across the United States with 50%+ travel, leading cross-functional teams in deploying critical IT/mobile systems for federal clients.

Candidates should have a PM background, PMP preferred, and be able to secure DHS Public Trust clearance. Salary ranges reflect market norms for federal program leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree OR 5+ years of experience in one of: LMR, Engineering, Project Management, Technical Services, Government, Military or Public Safety.
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain necessary security clearance for government contracts.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely; employer sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Oversee deployment and implementation of Motorola Solutions products and services.
• Lead cross-functional teams to launch new solutions or upgrade existing systems.
• Direct full project lifecycle from initiation to completion with performance monitoring.
• Ensure delivery within timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Draft and execute project plans including design reviews, timelines, installation, training, testing.
• Manage subcontractor operations, SOWs, PO outcomes, installation schedules, and compliance.
• Track budgets, revenue goals, and equipment inventory.
• Draft technical proposals, change orders, and bids for system integration.
• Conduct project reviews and status meetings; communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Prepare documentation for internal reviews and external updates.
• Apply PM frameworks to maximize efficiency; mentor team members.
