Job summary

Siemens is seeking a seasoned sales engineer to drive Federal Government Construction Sales for Low/Medium Voltage switchgear in the Southeast and DC/Baltimore regions. The role focuses on developing relationships with federal and defense contractors, managing opportunity pipelines, and delivering compliant proposals.

The position offers remote/hybrid work in the Southeast market with up to 10% travel and a strong emphasis on navigating U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering strongly desired, although equivalency considered.
• 5+ years of federal contract and procurement process experience (or 10+ years).
• 5+ years of LV/MV power distribution product experience (or 10+ years).
• Ability to travel 10% of the time.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and support general and electrical contractors within the sales area pursuing federal and defense projects.
• Build and develop relationships with federal and defense-focused groups to benefit Siemens and targeted contractors.
• Develop and implement business strategies, forecasting, and maintain opportunity pipeline for federal/defense projects.
• Provide product support across Panelboards, Switchboards, MV gear, Lighting Panels, LV Switchgear, Busway, MCCs, MCCBs, IEC/NEMA controls, and Safety Switches.
• Use knowledge of U.S. Government procurement processes and prepare proposals for Federal customers.
• Ensure ongoing engagement throughout the project lifecycle to meet contractor objectives.
