Job summary

Siemens is seeking a seasoned sales engineer to drive Federal Government Construction Sales for Low/Medium Voltage switchgear in the Southeast market. The role focuses on building relationships with general and electrical contractors, pursuing federal and defense projects, and contributing to business development strategies.

Responsibilities include developing pipelines, supporting product lines, and leveraging knowledge of federal procurement and security requirements to deliver proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; HS diploma with related work experience acceptable.
• 5+ years of federal contract and procurement experience or 10+ years of federal contract and procurement experience.
• 5+ years of sales experience or 10+ years of sales experience.
• 5+ years of LV/MV power distribution product experience or 10+ years of LV/MV power distribution product experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage general and electrical contractor relationships within the sales area for federal and defense projects.
• Engage in special interest groups (business development) with a federal/defense focus to build relationships benefiting Siemens and targeted contractors.
• Develop and implement business strategies, forecast, and maintain the opportunity pipeline for all federal/defense projects within the sales area.
• Provide product support including Panelboards, Switchboards, MV gear, Lighting Panels, LV Switchgear, Busway, MCCs, Molded Case Circuit Breakers, IEC/NEMA controls, safety switches, and residential products.
• Utilize knowledge of U.S. Government procurement processes, Federal compliance, security clearance, and military acumen to develop solutions and proposals for Federal customers.
• Maintain continuous engagement throughout the project life cycle to ensure successful implementation of government and contractor objectives.
