Job summary

SMX seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead the CFO Control Tower BAS implementation for a federal government client. The role requires navigating federal budgeting and planning processes, and deployment of a SAP Analytics Cloud‑based solution. Remote work is 100% with <20% travel and Public Trust clearance. Lead a cross‑functional team of analysts, data engineers, and solution architects to deliver a best‑in‑class system.

The position emphasizes stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and adherence to federal security protocols, with competitive compensation and benefits. US citizenship and clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Project Manager in complex IT or financial system implementations.
• Proven experience managing SAP ERP implementation and upgrade projects.
• Experience managing projects for U.S. Federal Government agencies.
• Strong understanding of project management lifecycle and methodologies (PMP, Agile, Hybrid).
• Excellent leadership and communication skills; able to influence diverse stakeholders.
• U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage full lifecycle of the CFO Control Tower BAS implementation project.
• Serve as primary liaison between federal client stakeholders, SMX teams and vendors.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan with tasks, timelines, and resources.
• Maintain understanding of SAC platform and BAS solution to guide project actions.
• Lead a cross‑functional team of business analysts, data engineers, and solution architects.
• Provide regular status reports on project progress, risks, and finances.
• Ensure delivery meets client requirements on time, within budget, and with high quality and security.
