Job summary

SMX is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the CFO Control Tower BAS implementation for a federal client. The role requires navigating federal budgeting and planning, with SAC-based planning and reporting, while coordinating a cross-functional team.

You will manage the full project lifecycle, engage stakeholders, and ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to security standards. 100% remote role with travel<20% and Public Trust clearance required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• 10+ years’ experience as a Project Manager leading complex IT or financial system implementations.
• Proven experience managing SAP ERP implementation and upgrade projects.
• Experience managing projects for U.S. Federal Government agencies.
• Strong understanding of PM lifecycle methodologies (PMP, Agile, Hybrid).
• US Citizen with ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle of the CFO Control Tower BAS implementation from planning to delivery.
• Serve as primary client liaison for stakeholder alignment and reporting.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans with risks and dependencies.
• Provide governance, status reporting, and financial health updates to leadership.
• Oversee a cross-functional team including analysts, data engineers and solution architects.
• Ensure quality, timely delivery within budget and security requirements.
