Job summary

SMX is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the CFO Control Tower BAS implementation for a federal government client. You will oversee planning, execution, scope, budget, and quality for a SAC-based solution, coordinating with analysts, data engineers, and solution architects.

You must be a US citizen, eligible for a Public Trust clearance, and able to work remotely with minimal travel. The role emphasizes stakeholder management, reporting, and ensuring mission objectives are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 10+ years of PM experience leading complex IT or financial system implementations.
• Proven SAP ERP implementation/upgrade experience.
• Experience managing projects for U.S. Federal Government agencies.
• Knowledge of PM lifecycle and methodologies (PMP, Agile, Hybrid).
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle from planning to delivery.
• Serve as primary client liaison to ensure alignment with the vision.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans with tasks, timelines, and dependencies.
• Provide governance, risk management, and status reporting to leadership.
• Guide cross-functional teams including analysts, data engineers and architects.
