SMX is seeking a federal financial reporting specialist to design, validate, and validate a next‑gen consolidated solution aligned with FM QSMO standards. You will work remotely with accountants, analysts, solution architects and developers to ensure accurate reporting and robust reconciliations for federal statements and footnotes.

The role demands deep knowledge of USSGL, GTAS, and OMB Circulars, plus strong Excel/PowerPoint skills.

Qualificações

• 7+ years of federal financial management experience, ideally at a federal agency or federal consulting practice.
• Experience in federal financial statement preparation and/or auditing of statements.
• Familiarity with USSM framework, Modernization Playbook, FIBF, GovOps Marketplace and QSMO.
• Hands-on GTAS experience including trial balance submission and validations.
• Knowledge of Treasury Manual and USSGL guidance including posting logic and crosswalks.
• Strong knowledge of OMB Circulars (A-123, A-136, A-11) and FASAB publications.

Responsabilidades

• Advise on design and construction of the data model, dimensions, and hierarchies for federal statements.
• Validate GTAS crosswalks and reconciliations to ensure item accuracy.
• Ensure statements (Balance Sheet, Net Cost, Changes in Net Position, BNR) meet A-136 requirements.
• Develop and validate footnotes and disclosures per FASAB guidance.
• Assist with reconciliation tools and GTAS-related validations.
• Explain federal reporting processes to non-government staff.
• Lead business process analyses and roadmap prioritization.
• Support releases with testing and documentation.
