Job summary

SMX is seeking a Federal Financial Business Analyst to join the client service delivery team. This remote role focuses on budgeting, planning, and data analytics for federal customers, leveraging SAC and BI tools to drive value.

You will work with government stakeholders to analyze financial data, document processes, and deliver actionable insights while supporting the rollout of a next-generation planning application. A Public Trust clearance is required or attainable.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field.
5+ years of experience in federal financial management or business analysis.
Experience with federal government financial data and processes.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Analyze complex financial and operational data to support strategic decisions.
Document business processes, workflows, and requirements.
Facilitate stakeholder workshops to identify improvements.
Recommend process, technology, and data solutions.
Create quality documentation across SDLC and develop test plans.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business, data, and tech needs.
