SMX is seeking a Federal Financial Business Analyst to join the client service delivery team. The role focuses on budgeting, planning, data analytics, and technology to support federal customers using SAP SAC and BI tools.

You will partner with government stakeholders to translate complex data into actionable insights, drive process improvements, and contribute to the rollout of next‑generation planning solutions, with a remote work setup and limited travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• 5+ years in federal budgeting, planning, or data analytics roles.
• Experience with federal government financial data and processes.
• Proficient with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex financial and operational data for federal stakeholders.
• Document processes and requirements; design improved workflows.
• Facilitate workshops to identify process improvements.
• Recommend technology and data solutions to increase efficiency and outcomes.
• Create tests, use cases, and end-user documentation.
