Job summary

SMX is seeking a federal financial business analyst to advance the BAS solution on SAP Analytics Cloud, collaborating with designers, developers, and budget SMEs to build, enhance, and roll out a best-in-class planning application.

This full-time, 100% remote role requires a Public Trust clearance (or ability to obtain one), minimal travel (<20%), and strong skills in analysis, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, information systems, data analytics, public administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in federal financial management, business process analysis, data analytics, or related consulting.
• Experience with federal government financial data and processes.
• Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of client objectives, financial operations and priorities.
• Analyze and document business processes, requirements and decision-making needs.
• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to identify improvements.
• Recommend process, technology, and data solutions to improve efficiency and outcomes.

Education
