Job summary

SMX is seeking a federal financial business analyst to advance a SAP Analytics Cloud-based BAS solution for government clients. The role is full-time and 100% remote with travel <20% and a Public Trust clearance requirement. You will collaborate with designers, developers, and budget SMEs to enhance and deploy the next generation planning application.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of federal financial management, process analysis, data analytics, and strong communication abilities to drive value for federal customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 5+ years in federal financial management, process analysis or data analytics.
• Experience with federal government financial data and processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep understanding of client objectives, finances, and priorities.
• Analyze and document business processes, requirements, and decision needs.
• Facilitate workshops to identify process improvements.
• Recommend solutions to improve operations and financial outcomes.
• Review policies and data structures for impacts on processes.
• Utilize BI tools to maximize value of client data.
• Guide clients in adopting solutions to improve reporting and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align requirements.
• Create quality SDLC documentation (RTM, FDD, design docs, end-user guides, training).
• Develop test plans, use cases, and manage test execution.
