Job summary

SMX is seeking an energetic federal financial business analyst to advance the CFO Control Tower BAS solution built for the federal government on SAP Analytics Cloud. You will work with designers, developers and budget SMEs to enhance and roll out our best-in-class planning application in a 100% remote role with travel <20% and requires Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 5+ years in federal financial management or related areas.
• Experience with federal government financial data and processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently in a client-facing consulting environment.
• Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Understand client objectives, financial operations, and priorities.
• Analyze and document processes, requirements, and decision needs.
• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to identify improvements.
• Recommend process and data solutions to improve efficiency.
• Review policies and data structures for impacts on finance.
• Use BI tools to maximize value from client data assets.
• Guide clients in adopting solutions for better reporting and performance.
• Collaborate across teams to align requirements.
• Create SDLC documentation (RTM, FDD, design docs, user guides).
• Develop test plans and manage test execution.
