SMX seeks a Junior Federal Financial Business Analyst to join the client service delivery team, focusing on the BAS planning and reporting solution for federal budgeting. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Public Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in federal financial management, business process analysis, data analytics, or consulting.
• Experience with federal government financial data and processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document business processes, workflows, requirements, and organizational decision‑making needs.
• Facilitate workshops and collaborative sessions with stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities.
• Recommend process, technology, and data solutions that enhance operational efficiency and financial outcomes.
• Develop test plans, business use cases, and manage test execution.
• Create quality documentation across all phases of SDLC (RTM, FDD, Design Documents, end user documentation, training guides).
