Job summary

SMX is seeking a federal financial business analyst to enhance the BAS solution built on SAP Analytics Cloud for our federal customers. This full-time, 100% remote role involves collaborating with designers, developers, and budget SMEs to roll out next-generation planning capabilities. Expect minimal travel (<20%) and the ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

The role emphasizes understanding client objectives, documenting processes, and guiding cross-functional teams to deliver improved financial planning and reporting outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field (Business/Finance/IS).
• 5+ years in federal budgeting/financial analysis or consulting.
• Experience with federal government financial data preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand client objectives and financial operations to drive planning improvements.
• Document processes, requirements, and decision-making needs for CSC bas 솔utions
• Lead workshops with stakeholders to identify optimization opportunities.
• Recommend solutions to improve efficiency, reporting, and financial outcomes.
• Create documentation across SDLC phases (RTM, FDD, design docs, end-user guides).
• Develop test plans and manage test execution.
