Job summary

Falconwood Inc. in the DC–MD–VA area seeks a Capture Manager to drive federal pursuit strategies in a remote role. You will lead capture plans, coordinate cross-functional teams, and align staffing and pricing with customer needs.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Business Development and Strategy, you will mentor the BD team, engage customers and partners, assess competitors, and present win themes to guide leadership decisions.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in federal capture, BD, or proposal management with demonstrated leadership.
• Experience developing capture plans, win strategies, competitor assessments, and teaming approaches.
• Working knowledge of federal acquisition processes, solicitation requirements, evaluation criteria, and proposal development.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple pursuits, deadlines, and priorities without direct supervisory authority.
• Experience aligning technical solutions, staffing, past performance, and pricing with customer needs and evaluation criteria.
• Experience with Shipley processes (color reviews) to create winning proposals.
• Strong written communication, presentation, relationship management, analytical, and negotiation skills; proficient with MS Office and opportunity tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead capture efforts with plans, milestones, action owners, and pursuit schedules aligned with BD priorities.
• Assess customer needs, funding, acquisition approach, contract vehicles, timing, and ability to compete.
• Develop opportunity-specific win strategies, discriminators, value propositions, and win themes.
• Plan customer, industry, and partner engagements; document findings and translate insight into capture actions.
• Assess incumbents, competitors, teaming options, and identify capability gaps and actions to strengthen the pursuit.
• Lead capture reviews, present bid/no-bid recommendations, and coordinate staff, pricing, and delivery feasibility.
• Coordinate responses to RFIs and draft solicitations; provide handoff to Proposal Management with pricing assumptions.
• Mentor BD team and act as deputy to the Executive Director of BD and Strategy.
