Job summary

SMX is seeking a Federal Financial Business Analyst to join our remote team supporting federal budgeting, planning, and data-driven decision making. You will work with stakeholders to translate complex data into actionable insights, document processes, and drive enhancements across the BI and planning stack.

The role requires 5+ years in federal finance/analysis, proficiency with Excel and BI tools, and eligibility for a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (business, finance, IT, analytics).
• 5+ years in federal financial management or related areas.
• Experience with federal government data and BI/reporting tools.
• Public Trust clearance or eligibility.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial and operational data to support decision-making.
• Document business processes, workflows, and requirements.
• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to identify improvements.
