Job summary

Caplock Security LLC is seeking a Business Development Analyst to identify, qualify, and track federal proposal opportunities across IT, AI/Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, and more. This role sits at the front of our growth pipeline, researching agencies and competitors, maintaining pipeline data, and producing analysis for bid/no-bid decisions and capture strategy.

You will collaborate with the Proposal Manager and the Business Development team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business or related field.
2+ years in federal business development, capture, or market research.
Basic knowledge of federal acquisition, contract vehicles, FAR basics.
Experience with federal market intelligence platforms (SAM.gov, GovWin, GSA).
Advanced Excel and Microsoft 365 proficiency; strong writing and analysis.
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance if required.

Responsibilities

Monitor SAM.gov, GSA, GovWin, and agency forecasts to identify opportunities.
Research target agencies' missions and procurement history to qualify pursuits.
Build relationships with federal agency stakeholders to gain early insight into opportunities.
Maintain opportunity pipeline with accurate stage, value, and timeline data.
Conduct competitive analysis on incumbents and likely competitors.
Prepare opportunity briefs and support bid/no-bid and gate reviews.
