Actalent seeks a Mechanical Engineer to support design and development of advanced reactor systems. You will perform high-quality FEA analyses, evaluate structural performance, and translate results into concrete design recommendations.

The role emphasizes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and rigorous documentation. The position is fully remote, with focus on ANSYS/COMSOL tools, while supporting Knoxville, TN project needs.

Qualificações

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Approximately 20 years of relevant engineering experience preferred, focused on structural analysis and FEA.
Experience performing static and transient mechanical analyses.
Experience with ANSYS or similar simulation tools (ANSYS Simulation experience preferred).
Ability to develop clear engineering calculations and reporting.

Responsabilidades

Perform static and transient FEA of complex components and assemblies.
Evaluate structural behavior, failure modes, including stress, strain, fatigue, buckling, ratcheting.
Develop engineering calculations, technical reports, and analysis documentation.
Assess designs to meet engineering requirements for structural adequacy and reliability.
Support design optimization and qualification through analytical evaluations.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate analysis results into design decisions.
