Job summary

Rand Simulation seeks a highly skilled FEA simulation specialist with ANSYS structural software expertise. This remote role focuses on leading simulations for clients, providing design insight, and expanding ANSYS tool use across industries. Strong collaboration with account managers and marketing is expected.

You will mentor others, stay current with ANSYS platforms, and contribute to revenue-driving initiatives while delivering high-value engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• M.S./B.S./B.A. in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Physics, or similar discipline.
• 4+ years of mechanical/structural engineering/design experience.
• 4+ years of FEA/structural analysis experience with ANSYS Mechanical.
• LS-Dyna experience strongly desired; Multibody Dynamics experience preferred.
• Experience with multiple structural analysis methods (rigid body dynamics, transient analyses, nonlinear static/transient, modal, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead on specific consulting projects, run simulations for clients, and lead design reviews.
• Stay up to date with ANSYS platforms and expand knowledge of ANSYS tools.
• Interface with sales and BD teams to provide technical guidance and expertise.
• Analyze customer needs and create/demonstrate simulation solutions.
• Articulate ANSYS value proposition for consulting services.
• Assist in generating content (blogs, white papers, webinars).
• Occasionally provide ANSYS training, mentoring, and technical support.
