Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Facets Product and Benefits Consultant to design, configure, and implement healthcare product and benefit plans within the Facets platform. This remote US role collaborates with business stakeholders, operations, and technology teams to deliver compliant and accurate benefit solutions that support claims adjudication and member experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT, business, healthcare administration, or equivalent experience.
6+ years in healthcare payer industry with 4+ years in Facets configuration.
Strong expertise in healthcare benefit design (copays, deductibles, out-of-pocket max, accumulators, networks).
Understanding impact of product configuration on claims adjudication, pricing, eligibility, and membership processing.
Experience documenting requirements, designing solutions, performing configuration analysis, and supporting end-to-end testing.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Experience supporting Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, or other payer lines.

Responsibilities

Analyze requirements and translate them into Facets configurations.
Design benefit structures, accumulators, cost-sharing, coverage tiers, and network-based rules.
Configure, validate, and maintain Facets components with quality and scalability.
Partner with cross-functional teams on impacts to claims, pricing, provider networks, eligibility, and downstream systems.
Develop test scenarios and validate outcomes for deductibles, copays, coinsurance, OOP maximums, and network variations.
Troubleshoot configuration issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable resolutions.
Support production implementations, launches, updates, and post-production stabilization.
