Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Facets Product and Benefits Consultant for a remote US position. You will design, configure, and implement healthcare products and benefit plans within the Facets platform, collaborating with payer teams to deliver compliant, scalable solutions for claims adjudication and member experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 6+ years of healthcare payer experience with at least 4 years of Facets Product & Benefits configuration experience.
• Strong expertise in healthcare benefit design (copays, coinsurance, deductibles, OOP max, accumulators, network variations).
• Understanding of how product/benefit config impacts claims adjudication, pricing, eligibility, and member processing.
• Experience documenting requirements, developing solution designs, configuration analysis, and end-to-end testing support.
• Experience with Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid or other payer lines of business.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business, operational, and regulatory requirements and translate them into Facets configurations.
• Design healthcare products, benefit structures, accumulators, cost-sharing models, coverage tiers, and network-based rules.
• Configure, validate, and maintain Facets components with quality, scalability, and alignment to requirements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to assess impacts across claims, pricing, networks, eligibility, and downstream systems.
• Develop test scenarios and validate claims outcomes for deductibles, copays, coinsurance, OOP max, accumulators, and network variations.
• Troubleshoot configuration issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable resolutions.
• Support production implementations, product launches, benefit updates, releases, and post-production stabilization.
