Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Facets Product & Benefits Consultant for a remote US-based role. You will design, configure, test, and implement healthcare product configurations within the Facets platform, collaborating with analysts, operations, QA, and product teams.

Responsibilities include analyzing benefit requirements, validating configurations, and supporting testing scenarios from deductibles to network benefits. Strong FACETS experience required; remote work within the US offered.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of healthcare payer experience with Facets configuration.
• Strong expertise in Facets configuration, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Deep understanding of healthcare benefit design, including copays, coinsurance, deductibles, out-of-pocket maximums, accumulators, limits, exclusions, and network variations.
• Experience analyzing business requirements and translating them into scalable configuration solutions.
• Knowledge of the relationship between benefit configuration, claims adjudication, pricing, eligibility, provider networks, and accumulators.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, Healthcare or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze benefit requirements, product documentation, regulatory mandates, and business needs to design Facets configurations.
• Configure, validate, and maintain Facets Product & Benefits components.
• Assess impacts across membership, provider networks, pricing, accumulators, claims processing, and downstream integrations.
• Develop configuration documentation, mapping artifacts, decision logs, and implementation support materials.
• Create and execute testing scenarios to validate benefit logic (deductibles, copays, coinsurance, OOP max, limits, network-based benefits).
• Troubleshoot configuration defects and implement sustainable solutions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support product launches, benefit changes, releases, and production implementations.
