Job summary

Sikich is seeking an Executive Search Consultant for a full-desk role, remote nationwide. You own the revenue cycle from identifying new client opportunities to delivering top candidates, negotiating fees, and closing placements.

You will source passive candidates, conduct rigorous screenings, present concise executive summaries, and manage the interview process while maintaining high-level client relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years running a full-desk executive search in accounting and finance—personally responsible for business development and delivery.
• Proven track record of year-over-year billings or gross profit growth across multiple searches.
• Self-generated client base with negotiated fee agreements and repeat assignments.
• Direct sourcing of passive candidates through name generation, mapping, referrals, and LinkedIn Recruiter.
• Comfort discussing fee structures, defending rates, and closing offers with clients.
• Experience recruiting professional/executive roles in finance, accounting, audit, tax, technology, HR, or business operations.
• Strong communication and executive presence when engaging CFOs or C-suite hiring executives.
• Systems discipline with ATS/CRM, LinkedIn Recruiter, and standard MS Office tools.
• Resilience and self-direction with high-volume outbound activity.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Own your desk as a business—drive revenue, prospect, and manage deliveries.
• Source passive candidates, conduct structured screens, and present executive summaries.
• Coordinate interviews, references, and offers; manage counteroffers.
• Prepare written candidate presentations and client-facing reports.
• Forecast pipelines and maintain active search dashboards in real time.
• Protect placements with follow-through through start date and beyond.
