Job summary

Cosmo is seeking experienced educators to join their team as tutors for K-12 ESL students, primarily from Asia. This independent contractor role offers a flexible schedule where you set your own hours, with classes typically held between 5-9 AM EST. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of teaching experience in ELA or ESL. Tutors must create a welcoming learning environment to help students succeed.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience teaching grades K-12 ELA, ESL, or EFL.
• Experience with K-12 ELA standards.
• TEFL certificate preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1-on-1 instruction for your students.
• Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner.
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student’s age and ability.
• Submit Class Feedback after each lesson.
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner.
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting.
• Communicate with Cosmo staff.
