Job summary

Cosmo 1:1 seeks experienced ESL tutors for 1:1 online lessons. You will teach younger learners using the Cosmo curriculum in 50-minute sessions with Singaporean and Hong Kong students.

This is an independent contractor role paying $20 USD per class plus incentives. A Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of K-12 ELA/ESL/EFL teaching are required. Availability 6–9 AM EST on weekdays or weekends; minimum 20 hours weekly; must be US or Canada-based with reliable internet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 3 years of experience teaching grades K-12 ELA, ESL, or EFL.
• TEFL certificate preferred but not required.
• Fast and reliable internet connection and access to a Windows or Mac PC.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1 on 1 instruction for your students.
• Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner.
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student's age and ability.
• Submit Class Feedback after each lesson.
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner.
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting.
• Communicate with Cosmo staff.
