Placements24 is seeking a proactive Remote Equipment Support Specialist to join their fully remote team. Based in the George area, you will provide expert remote assistance for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of sophisticated equipment for clients nationwide.
The role emphasizes strong communication, technical proficiency, and ability to guide users and on-site personnel through complex remote procedures, ensuring minimal downtime and peak efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in technical support, help desk or field service with remote assistance.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking concepts, and common OS.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; able to explain tech clearly.
Responsibilities
- Provide remote support for installation, setup and configuration via video/video conferencing and remote tools.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues reported by clients.
- Guide clients through routine maintenance to ensure longevity of equipment.
- Develop and maintain documentation such as FAQs and troubleshooting guides.
- Escalate unresolved issues to senior teams with clear problem descriptions.
- Monitor equipment performance remotely and identify issues early.
