Placements24 is seeking a highly capable Remote Systems Administrator to manage and maintain IT infrastructure from a remote location. You will handle server upkeep, user support, network management, and IT policy implementation to ensure stability and security.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, VMware, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), plus scripting skills (PowerShell/Bash) as a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS or related field.
• 5+ years of Systems Administrator experience.
• Strong in Windows Server, Linux, VMware and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Proficient in network administration (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
• Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain server infrastructure across OSes.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Provide remote technical support to end-users.
• Oversee network infrastructure including firewalls, routers, and switches.
• Stay updated on technologies and recommend improvements.
