Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Systems Administrator to manage and maintain IT infrastructure from anywhere, supporting operations across locations. You will handle deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and user support remotely to ensure robust IT operations.

The role requires expertise in Windows Server, Linux, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms, with strong problem-solving and communication in a fully remote, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator with strong remote management.
• Expertise in Windows Server and Linux environments, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
• Proficient in scripting for automation (PowerShell, Bash).
• Excellent troubleshooting and ability to work independently in a remote team.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain server infrastructure (physical and virtual) including operating systems, storage, and backups.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security, implementing proactive measures to prevent issues.
• Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and application software across the network.
• Provide remote technical support to users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls to ensure data security.
