Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Med Grp Professional Billing Coder II for a fully remote position. You will resolve coding edits in Epic WQ’s, assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on clinical documentation, and ensure data integrity for internal and external reporting.

The role requires CPC or CCS-P certification, E/M coding experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. You will communicate with providers, meet productivity standards, and participate in ongoing education to stay

Qualifications

• CPC or CCS-P certification required.
• Experience in professional fee coding including E/M services.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong knowledge of physician billing and healthcare revenue cycle.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and resolves all coding edits in assigned work queues in Epic.
• Assigns ICD, CPT, and HCPCS classifications based on documentation.
• Resolves coding edits within defined timeframes.
• Escalates coding/denial trends and provider education opportunities.
• Navigates Epic EMR and related reports/work queues.
• Communicates with providers via Epic in-basket and email per guidelines.
• Adheres to departmental protocols.
• Uses Microsoft Office, Kronos, ServiceHub, and Encoder Pro as needed.
• Meets or exceeds productivity standards.
• Participates in continuing education to maintain coding credentials.
