Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of pro fee coding experience with at least three (3) years within assigned specialty service line.
• Required credential: CPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or CCS-P.
• Preferred seven plus (7) years of related coding experience.
• Requires E/M (Evaluation & Management) coding experience for the assigned specialty.

Responsibilities

• Navigate Epic EMR to review and resolve coding edits in work queues.
• Evaluate and resolve coding edits in Charge Review, Claim Edit, and Follow-up queues.
• Review documentation and assign CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, and modifiers.
• Assess coding bundling guidelines and appropriate modifiers.
• Communicate coding trends to coding leadership and providers.
• Provide education/training for providers and coders within the department.
• Perform quality assurance audits within the specialty team.
• Ensure compliance with coding regulations and guidelines.
