Qualifications

• CPC or CCS-P certification or equivalent.
• Professional fee coding experience including E/M services.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
• Solid knowledge of physician billing and healthcare revenue cycle.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and resolve coding edits in Charge Review, Claim Edit, and Follow-up queues in Epic.
• Assign ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding classifications based on docs and orders.
• Assess and resolve coding edits within assigned timeframes.
• Escalate coding/denial trends and provider education needs.
• Navigate Epic EMR and related reports and queues.
• Communicate with providers via Epic in-basket and email per guidelines.
• Adhere to departmental protocols and use org tools as applicable.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards.
• Engage in continuing education to maintain coding knowledge and credentials.
