Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced IT Analyst to map, analyze, and optimize Epic workflows. You will translate user needs into functional specs, guide testing, training, and navigation of the Epic suite, and support ongoing upgrades in a fully remote capacity.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field, about 3 years in IT/clinical settings with process mapping, and EPIC certification within 6 months.

Qualifications

Typically requires 3 years in an IT or clinical environment with business process mapping, analysis, defining business and user requirements, acceptance testing and documentation experiences.

Responsibilities

Identify, map, measure, analyze and improve routine to moderately complex clinical and business processes.
Prepare documentation for business requirements with diagrams, data flows, and models.
Translate user requirements into functional specifications and review with users.
Perform system configuration that meets business requirements.
Develop test plans and execute testing to validate performance of all functions.
Provide training through development of materials and trainers.
Monitor system functionality and institute changes as needed.
Explain function and assist users with full application capabilities.
