Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a technically skilled IT professional to optimize Epic workflows across clinical and business domains. The role focuses on mapping, analyzing and improving processes, translating user needs into design specs, and leading testing and training for end users.

You will work in a full-time, remote capacity with on-call duties, serving diverse health system locations. A Bachelor's degree in computer science and Epic experience are required, with certification pursued within

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Typically requires 3 years in IT or clinical environment with business process mapping, analysis, defining business and user requirements, acceptance testing and documentation.
Obtain EPIC certification within 6 months and maintain ongoing education as required.

Responsibilities

Identify, map, measure, analyze and improve Epic workflows for clinical and business processes.
Perform workflow analysis and map critical processes using BPM techniques and best practices.
Prepare documentation for business requirements using diagrams and models.
Translate user requirements into functional and technical design specifications.
Develop test plans, test cases and scripts to validate performance of functions.
Provide training materials and training for end-users as appropriate.
Communicate project status and upgrades to clinic users; manage multiple requests and priorities.
Schedule and manage Epic version upgrades for assigned applications.
Assist with support and troubleshooting as needed.
