Job summary

Soda Data is seeking a remote Sales Engineer to join our GTM team and partner with AEs, the CRO, and enterprise buyers. You’ll run demos, scope PoCs, and own the technical side of deals from first call to close, all while moving fast in a startup environment.

Based in the US, you’ll translate complex data challenges into Soda solutions, build compelling demos, and collaborate across product and security teams to win high-value deals with top data-focused customers.

Qualifications

1–3 years as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or similar in a B2B SaaS company.
Undergraduate degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math, or similar.
Fluent in Python and able to read, write, and debug it in front of a customer.
Experience running demos and supporting PoCs in customer environments.
Strong customer communication: clear, calm, and honest under pressure.
Builder mentality: likes to optimize processes, write docs, and automate repetitive tasks.
Based in the US with ability to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

Run demos and scope PoCs with AEs from first technical call to closed-won.
Translate customer problems into Soda solutions and Soda capabilities into customer language.
Build custom demos, sample pipelines, and PoC environments showing real value.
Own technical responses on RFPs/RFIs and support evaluation, purchasing, and implementation.
Be the technical voice in the room among Data Engineers, Heads of Data Platform, and CDOs.
Feed product and engineering with field signals on wins/losses.
