Job summary

Soda is hiring a remote Sales Engineer in the United States to partner with AEs, the CRO, and the GTM team on enterprise deals. You will run demos, scope PoCs, and own the technical side of deals, with support and growth opportunities.

You will work directly with AEs and the CRO, translating customer needs into Soda solutions, building experiments, and owning RFP/security responses. You’ll travel occasionally and wear multiple hats in a startup.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or similar customer-facing technical role at a B2B SaaS company.
• Undergraduate degree (or higher) in a technical field: CS, math, engineering, or similar.
• Fluent in Python: read, write, and debug in front of customers.
• Experience running demos and supporting PoCs in customer environments.
• Strong customer communication: explain complex concepts to data teams and executives.
• Builder mentality with process optimization; proactive documentation and automation.
• Based in the US.

Responsibilities

• Run demos and scope PoCs alongside AEs, from first technical call to closed-won.
• Translate customer problems into Soda solutions and Soda capabilities into customer language.
• Build custom demos, sample pipelines, and PoC environments showing real value.
• Own technical responses on RFPs/RFIs and security questions.
• Support customers through evaluation, purchasing, and implementation.
• Be the technical voice in the room with Data Engineers and Chief Data Officers.
• Provide feedback to product/engineering on field signals and needs.
• Occasionally travel to customer sites, team offsites, and conferences.
• Wear many hats in a startup environment across the sales cycle.
