Job summary

University of California, Santa Cruz is seeking a senior IT professional to lead service management, project delivery, and application governance across a campus-wide SaaS portfolio. The role demands strategic engagement with stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to ensure secure, reliable IT services.

You will drive service roadmaps, manage complex projects, oversee application management, and champion operational excellence in a fully remote model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent experience.
• ITSM principles and ITIL lifecycle knowledge.
• Experience with project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile/Hybrid).
• Vendor management, SLAs/OLAs, and contract coordination.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management across levels.
• Experience overseeing enterprise SaaS portfolios and IT service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple, complex service offerings and portfolio components, aligning with organizational goals.
• Develop service lifecycle roadmaps, define service catalog, and conduct user research.
• Identify new technology solutions and draft proposals for campus leadership.
• Manage vendor relationships, contract reviews, and escalation pathways.
• Ensure compliance with information security policies and FERPA/ADA requirements.
• Monitor service levels via SLAs/OLAs and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead cross-functional teams and communicate across clients, vendors, and technical staff.
• Plan transitions of new services into ongoing ITSM operations and governance.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to Service Desk and technical staff.
• Oversee incident and request fulfillment to meet client expectations.
