Job summary

Pearson English Language Learning is seeking a field-based Sales Representative to drive revenue growth and expand Pearson’s ELL footprint. This remote role involves traveling 65% and selling digital and print English Language Learning solutions to faculty, administrators, and institutions.

The role emphasizes prospecting, relationship-building, and strategic territory planning, with a base salary plus incentive bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years sales experience in adult or higher education or related market.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, CRM and business systems, and mobile technologies.
• Willingness to travel 3–4 days per week.
• Reside in Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Engage 15+ faculty members or decision-makers daily using in-person and virtual outreach.
• Prospect and pursue new business opportunities with a hunter mindset.
• Plan and manage territory and accounts to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth.
• Present, sell, and negotiate Pearson’s digital ELL solutions in virtual and face-to-face settings.
• Deliver product demonstrations, onboarding, and training to support long-term adoption.
• Manage pipeline, forecasting, and activity tracking using Salesforce (OneCRM).
• Stay current on Pearson products, platforms, and trends in the ELL market.
• Build and maintain relationships with teachers, administrators, and bookstore partners.
